Max Homa exposes a funny scum trick that fellow PGA Tour pro Michael Kim once pulled in college

Pulling tricks is always a fun thing. However, describing successfully pulled off tricks is even more fun. That’s exactly what Max Homa did with his long time friend and college-mate Michael Kim. Kim is now all set to play on the PGA Tour after having an extremely successful season on the Korn Ferry Tour.

However, speaking about the old times, Homa had quite a funny incident to talk about during a recent press conference. When talking about reuniting with his former Cal teammate Kim, Homa decided to diverge from the topic and exposed one of his funny tricks instead.

“Michael moved to America from Korea when he was 12, so he speaks fluent Korean. Like I said, I used to be in his hotel room every night when we were on the road and he’d talk to his parents and it’s like one of us talking to our parents, it was very fast,” began Homa, speaking about an incident that he possibly should not have mentioned.

“And obviously I don’t understand any Korean, it’s quite complicated. So he did that and—he’s going to be so mad I’m telling people this. He did that and right after he starts recording something on his phone and it would be like me saying like, ‘I drove my car to the store’ in Korean.“ Homa, confused with the situation, asked Kim what the deal was.

To that he received a rather funny reply. “I was like, ‘What are you doing,’ and he said, ‘Oh, I’m in this Korean 101 class that I’m not supposed to know, I’m not supposed to be fluent in this.” I’m like, ‘You are so scummy,’ but it was great,” laughed Max Homa, reminiscing about a memory with a fellow player.

However, Homa is excited to see his teammate on Tour. “I guess the point of that is Michael’s a very funny, awesome dude,” Homa added. “He’s cool.” Kim on the other hand, took a funny route, and decided to comment on Twitter saying that he cannot comment any further. Regardless, both players enjoyed a bit of banter, and are excited to be on the tour.
