Transgender athletes in sports have been a major point of contention over the past decade. The issue further caught fire during the Paris Olympics, when Italian boxer Angela Carini lost to Algerian Imane Khelif, an alleged biological male. Many celebrities and athletes have since given their opinions about the situation, including WWE Superstar Logan Paul.
Paul penned another post on X about this issue, saying that biological men should not compete in sports against biological women. The United States Champion soon deleted the post. Ibou of WrestlePurists then tweeted out, saying that WWE PR approached him. This allegedly caused The Maverick to crash out. He started “kicking and screaming” about the issue and ended up deleting the post. Surprisingly, the 29-year-old replied to the tweet and said that it was a lie.
In his now-deleted post, Paul mentioned how some people claimed that Imane Khelif was born a biological woman. He refuted this claim by saying that the Algerian had previously failed a gender test due to possessing XY chromosomes. Furthermore, he asserted that if anyone thought that a biological man fighting against a woman was okay, they were “a sick f*ck.”
Algena Carini forfeited the bout in 46 seconds and broke down after her opponent was declared the winner. She said that she had never experienced a punch like that and could no longer go on. The 25-year-old even said that she had blood in her eyes during the fight.
Jim Cornette believes LA Knight should dethrone Logan Paul at SummerSlam
Logan Paul will defend his United States Championship against LA Knight in his hometown of Cleveland, Ohio, at SummerSlam. The match was made official a few weeks ago, and many fans have mixed opinions about the outcome of the match. Jim Cornette believes that it is finally time for a change, as he revealed while speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience.
Cornette believes that LA Knight needs to win the match. He even suggested a possible outcome for the match. If WWE wanted Paul to go in a different direction after the show, they could have someone interfere during the match to knock him out and set up a feud for after the summer.
I think he (LA Knight) needs to win this. And if they want Logan Paul to go in a different direction, maybe somebody else can assist him in losing that by clocking him in the head or something.
Jim Cornette on the Jim Cornette ExperienceRegardless of the outcome, Cornette feels that Knight should come out on top at the Biggest Party of the Summer. He should be the next United States Champion to allow for a full-time champion to reign on SmackDown. Furthermore, Knight needs to win the match decisively by pinning him.
