FC Barcelona will look to put their last minute blemishes behind them as they finished third in the league behind Atletico Madrid and Real with some disastrous performances at the business end of the season. Ronald Koeman’s team will be hoping to kick off to a positive start when they take to the field for the upcoming campaign.
Barcelona have gone through some lengths to acquire some serious additions to their squad, with added firepower up front and also bolstering their defence.
FC Barcelona’s La Liga Fixtures released
Barcelona have secured the services of lethal striker Sergio Aguero and defender Eric Garcia from Manchester City on a free transfer, adding reliable options in both attack and defence. They have also signed Memphis Depay, who became a free agent this summer, adding depth in their ranks and brought back Emerson from Real Betis, who can be a valuable option at the right back position.
FC Barcelona will kick off their 2021-22 La Liga season on 15th August, when they host bitter rivals Real Sociedad at home in Camp Nou.
Following that, the Blaugranas will travel to Bilbao to face Athletic Club away at San Mames on August 22. After that they will be facing some tricky fixtures against Getafe, Sevilla and Granada.
The first Clasico between Real Madrid and Barcelona for the upcoming season will be hosted at home to Barcelona at the Camp Nou on October 24, with the return fixture scheduled on March 20 at the new Santiago Bernabeu stadium which will be unveiled this year.
A Catalan derby between Barcelona and Espanyol will also be on show this year, after Espanyol earned their promotion back to top tier Spanish football.
The first clash will be at home to Barcelona on November 21, with the return game at the RCDE Stadium scheduled on February 13th.
Barcelona will be finishing off their campaign with a tough fixture against Villarreal on May 22, as they hope to reclaim the crown once again.
