Antetokounmpo also made a franchise record on his career night for the Bucks. He became the only third player in Bucks’ history to have 3 consecutive 40-point games. Before Giannis, only Flynn Robinson in February 1969 and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar in February 1972 had done that. Before hammering Washington with his 55, Giannis’ career-high was 52 points against the Philadelphia 76ers in 2019. Giannis, however, remained 2 points away from scoring a franchise record (57) owned by Michael Redd. Redd had scored 57 points against the Utah Jazz in November 2006. Giannis has now scored 45, 43, and 55 points in three consecutive games he has played and is averaging 32.8 points per game this season.
