HasanAbi banned due to disrespectful reaction to the Queen’s demise

A figure with a past mired in controversy, HasanAbi has once again made the airwaves, getting banned on TikTok. The left-wing commentator’s editor shared the video which led to him getting axed from the short-form platform. The video showed his initial reactions to the news of Queen Elizabeth’s demise.

Taking the decision in jest, Hasan shared the news, tweeting “first they came for Andrew Tate, now me” as a joke. The streamer is a known critic of the monarchy, stating on his stream that they represent “unfettered power, colonialism, bloodshed” and that the Queen was “a relic of the monarchy” and “the world’s largest landlord”.

It’s not clear if the ban was due to HasanAbi violating the TikTok Terms of Service, or if it was due to mass reporting by people finding the video in poor taste, as many people were saddened on hearing the news of the monarch’s demise.

HasanAbi doesn’t seem to be taking the decision too seriously, continuing to talk about his views and posting memes on the subject on all his social media platforms. It remains to be seen if the ban would remain permanent, as users are still able to see his older posts on TikTok, and many are on the side of the Turkish-American ever since he was banned.
