How To Get Meteoric Mission?

The Meteoric Mission becomes available when you reach quest step 3 of the Echoes Act 1: A Familiar Voice quest.

The quest became available during the second week of The Final Shape and is a continuation of events that take place after the defeat of the Witness.

Meteoric Mission Walkthrough

The mission begins with you heading to Failsafe to check on her and afterward, you are requested to clear out the Vex nearby.

This involves breaking their Confluxes nearby (there are 3), which can be done by interacting with them while you are not being damaged.

After destroying all 3 of the Confluxes in the area, a counterattack group will be sent to attack you and you must defeat them.

Once you have cleared out the Vex, you will need to proceed with making your way to the Impact Site to see what has landed.

Upon reaching the Impact Site, you will need to check out the area of impact and afterward reboot the nearby Data Array.

Vex will begin to assault you once you activate the Data Array and they will set up Vex Nodes to disable it, making it necessary for you to disable them.

To disable the Vex Nodes, you will need to defeat the Vex in the area until a Compelled Minotaur drops an Arc Cannon.

You will need to aim the Arc Cannot properly to make the laser bounce off to hit the Vex Nodes to disable them.

This will need to be repeated multiple times until you encounter Cottux, Compelled Mind, and before you can continue, you must defeat it.

After defeating Cottux, Compelled Mind, you will need to head back to the Impact Site to survey the area and reboot the Data Array. (This completes the mission)

Meteoric Rewards

Rebooting the Data Array for the second time will complete the mission, which rewards you with XP, Glimmer, Echo Engrams, and possibly gear.

You will also obtain Failsafe Reputation that can later be used when interacting with Failsafe, who becomes a vendor once added to the H.E.L.M.

Summary

The Vex were attracted to the strange anomaly but this had changed them into compelled beings for some unknown reason.

This has led to you stopping their plans and upon returning, it looks like Nessus had healed itself by closing the area of impact.

While the anomaly remains, everyone will need to keep a close eye on the Impact Site to see if something else will happen.
