Bradley Beal’s wife Kamiah Adams-Beal is not happy. What is it that has her up in arms? Her husband’s latest All-NBA Team omission.
Even though the Washington Wizards star posted career highs with 30.5 points and 6.5 assists per outing, somehow he found himself on the outside looking in. Again.
Kamiah took to Twitter on Wednesday and vocally expressed her outrage over the slight against her husband.
I’m not here to say who shouldn’t have made it. Not my place. HOWEVER I am here to and will CONTINUE to be VERY vocal on saying BRADLEY BEAL IS A F-ING ALL STAR AND ALL NBA!!!!!!!!!! Put some respect on his name!

I just wanna know if the “voters” can make:
free throw
left hand lay up
3pt shot
😂😂😂😂 #seriousquestion

Mind you, Beal is the first player since 1982 to average 30 points per outing and still not make the cut. And when it happened to Adrian Dantley more than 25 years ago, there were only two All-NBA teams.
Beal also now owns the highest points per game average for a player left off All-NBA since Bob McAdoo put up 31.1 points per outing back in 1975.
So it is easy to see where Kamiah’s frustration is coming from.

That said, the Wizards did finish 25-47 and out of playoff contention. Whether that alone should have kept Beal’s name off the list is debatable.
The All-NBA First Team was comprised of LeBron James, James Harden, Anthony Davis, Luka Doncic and Giannis Antetokounmpo.
The All-NBA Second Team featured Kawhi Leonard, Nikola Jocic, Damian Lillard, Chris Paul and Pascal Siakam.
Finally, the All-NBA Third Team was made up of Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Rudy Gobert, Ben Simmons and Russell Westbrook.
Inevitable fallout. https://t.co/nL79lOL4Qk

There is a reasonable case to be made that Beal could have gotten the nod over either Simmons or Westbrook, but both players were members of teams with more regular season success.
It is worth remembering that when the votes were being cast, Washington was 24-40.
All in all, Beal is objectively one of the most talented players in the NBA today. At 27 years old, it feels all but inevitable that he will land on the All-NBA Team at some point in the near future.
But until that actually happens, both his frustration and his wife’s frustration will continue to be very understandable.
