Bam Adebayo has been making waves in the NBA as one of the best big men in the league. He plays for the Miami Heat, where he has earned two All-Star selections and four All-Defensive team honors. But Bam is not the only basketball star in his family. He has a half-brother, Jabari Ashe, who also loves the game and plays it well.

Adebayo was born in Newark, New Jersey to John Adebayo and Marilyn Blount. His father was from Nigeria and his mother was African-American. She moved with him to North Carolina when he was seven years old.

He does not have a sister, but he has a half-brother from his father’s side. His name is Jabari Ashe, and he lives in New Jersey. Bam and Jabari did not grow up together but have a close bond. Jabari was the one who called Bam to tell him their father had passed away. Bam said that he was thankful for having Jabari in his life and that they talk often.

Adebayo and his half-brother share a passion for basketball and often play together when they visit each other. Jabari is also a skilled player who played for Rutgers University-Newark and Essex County College. He said that he admires Bam as a role model and that he is proud of his accomplishments.
